Song 1 was originally done by The Vogues in the 60s. Lyndsey's cover is an upbeat rocking version of this cool tune! The chorus reminds me of Nirvana's huge hit "Smells Like Teen Spirit" - especially since the drum riff is very similar. This song is on Lyndsey's new CD - "NYC Garage And Blue Lemonade"

Song 2 is by the famous 60s Model / icon, Twiggy. It's a cool, hip 60s Garage pop tune!

Song 3 is a new Garage Hard rocking tune by Ko and The Knockouts. Ko hosts a show at Little Stevens Underground Garage channel on Sirius radio. This song is one THE BEST New Garage Rock songs!

Song 4 is from 80's all-girl Garage Rockers, The Pandoras. This is one of THE BEST Garage Rock songs of the 80s! If this doesn't get you up and dancing around the room, check your pulse cuz you might be dead!

Songs 5, 6 and 8 are very cool original 60s Garage Rock songs that you will love!

Song 7 is a spooky psychedelic perfect-for-Halloween song - a 60s cover of Jimi Hendrix' hit, "Hey Joe!" - complete with a Theremin, very cool! You have to hear this!

Well, enjoy the music. It's only 28 minutes, so go listen!

Iggy Pop on the Underground Garage TODAY

Hey Garage Rockers!

Listen to this at 10 PM Eastern Time tonight!

I'm sure you all have Little Steven's Underground Garage playing through your TV, stereo or car stereo all day anyway, don't you? Well you should! Sirius 25, Little Steven's Underground Garage, is the best Garage Rock station on the planet. I have it on all the time. There are many great Garage Bands played on LSUG both old and new. They have even played our great Garage artist, Lyndsey Price!

But tonight at 10PM, listen for Iggy Pop to appear during Handsome Dick Manitoba's timeslot. He will be talking about his early days in music as the drummer for The Iguanas, and I'm sure he will have other great stories from his time with The Stooges and his solo career. Here is a promo YouTube video from the interview, followed by the video's description. Be sure to catch this interview!

Description: It was a punk rock summit when Dictators frontman and SIRIUS|XM Underground Garage host Handsome Dick Manitoba interviewed Iggy Pop. Hear the entire interview Friday October 30 at 10 pm ET on The Underground Garage, SIRIUS channel 25 and XM channel 59. Get a free online trial at www.sirius.com/freetrial. In this clip, Iggy and Dick discuss the new book "The Stooges: The Authorized and Illustrated Story." In this clip, though, Handsome Dick asks Iggy about his pre-Stooges group, The Iguanas.

The Heartbeats - 60s Girl Garage Band

On September 7th, 1968, The Heartbeats, from Lubbock Texas, won $10,000 in prizes in the amateur band contest on ABC's nationwide pop/rock show Happening '68. The Heartbeats lip-sync'ed to their recording of the Outsiders hit "Time Won't Let Me." One of the prizes was a VW bus, but none of the girls could drive; they were 12 to 15 years old!

The Heartbeats are:
Linda Sanders - Drums, lead vocals
Deb Sanders -rhythm guitar
Deborah McMillan - bass
Jeannie Foster - lead guitar and organ

Managed by mom Jeanne Sanders, whose goal was to "maintain in appearance and reality a group of decent, wholesome girls."

Here they are, as seen on Happening '68. Linda is on drums in the back. Jeannie is on the left. Deb is in the middle and "has a dance routine" which is very cool! Deborah is on the right. After 8 bars of lead-in, during which the guitar girls do shuffle, they get a little more animated as Deb does her "dance routine." Check out the cut-aways to kids in the audience. This is a great slice of Garage Rock for your viewing and listening pleasure!

At Garage Rock Radio Records, we also have a Garage Girl - Lyndsey Price. Check out one of her songs, For FREE, on our Downloads Page. Thanks!
